About this event
"Ogimi Village Handicrafts: Igimiteiguma IN Naha", bringing together the crafts and local specialties of Ogimi Village, will be held for two days from September 11 to 12, 2026, at the Okinawa Times Building. At the venue, works by craft artists connected to Ogimi Village—such as yachimun (pottery), woodwork, indigo dyeing, bashofu (banana fiber cloth), bunagaya crafts, and Ogimi carpentry—will be exhibited and sold. In addition, there will be direct-from-producer shikuwasa sales and food booths where visitors can enjoy the rich cuisine of Ogimi Village. As a special feature, a pop-up Awamori Bar by Yanbaru Distillery will be set up. Furthermore, the Teiguma Charity Auction will take place from 14:00 on the 11th, a performance by the Kijoka Elementary School Shishimai (Lion Dance) Club from 14:00 on the 12th, followed by a Charity Auction from 15:00 on the 12th. It is an event packed with the charms of Yanbaru.
