[Monitor Tour] Wood Ear Mushroom Harvesting Experience and Lunch

Japanese name:【モニターツアー】きくらげ収穫体験とランチ

📅 Tue, Aug 4, 2026 - Wed, Aug 26, 2026

📍 Kitanakagusuku, Okinawa

About this event

This monitor tour allows participants to harvest wood ear mushrooms in nature and enjoy lunch made with local ingredients in Kitanakagusuku Village, Okinawa Prefecture. Held for limited small groups, you can experience the joy of harvesting with your own hands and encounter the unique local food and history. Two types of tour plans are available: a plan combining lunch with a guided walk through the Nakagusuku Castle Ruins, and a casual plan to enjoy the harvest experience and lunch. The monitor price applies to sessions held through the end of September 2026, and groups of 4 or more people can consult regarding hosting the tour on their preferred date. The tour serves a local ingredient lunch in collaboration with regional restaurants, but contents may vary depending on the date, restaurant, and ingredient availability. Wearing comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, a hat, and bringing drinks are recommended, and because it is an outdoor experience, participating in clothes and shoes that can get dirty is advised. This tour is a monitor tour aimed at improving future experience programs and disseminating information; photos and videos of the experience may be taken and used in promotional materials. Cancellations due to participant circumstances can be made up to 3 days before the event date, but cancellation fees will apply after that. The organizer is the Kitanakagusuku Village Tourism Association.
