Held around Koza Startup Arcade and the Ichibangai Shopping Arcade in Chuo, Okinawa City, KSA ROOTS MARKET is a market supporting people preparing for or newly starting businesses, student and young entrepreneurs, and those active under the theme of 'community engagement challenges.' Beyond simply selling goods, it aims to be a place where local residents and visitors act like sunlight and water to nurture the 'first step' of challengers, as embodied by the word 'ROOTS.' Stallholders receive benefits such as participation in 'SEED JOURNEY,' a workshop to articulate their own stories, story-sharing opportunities to meet Koza peers, and individual consulting support after the market. A wide variety of stall categories are possible, including handmade general goods, accessories, workshops, service/experience booths, art and craft works, and education/career/community introductions. Strict conditions are set for food sales, and home-cooked products cannot be sold. Food truck participation is also limited to small vehicles. As the venue has an arcade roof, the event is generally held even in the rain, but may be canceled or postponed in the event of severe weather. Applications for stalls are scheduled to close on Monday, July 13, 2026.
