Held at the Lifelong Learning Hall of the Towada City Cultural Center in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture, the "37th Towada City Folk Performing Arts Festival" is a historic folk performing arts event celebrating its 37th edition this year. Eight local organizations will participate—including Tsunoda-kai, Oshu Enka, Asuka Shoryu-kai, Saotome Seiyu-kai, Maiyu-kai, Hibari no Kai, Nanohana-kai, and Makoto-kai—and the performers will enliven the stage with unique programs. Performers such as Hironobu Tsunoda from Tsunoda-kai, Junji Watari from Oshu Enka, Ryu Asuka from Asuka Shoryu-kai, Honoka Saotome from Saotome Seiyu-kai, Kyoko Hide from Maiyu-kai, Keiko Masuzawa from Hibari no Kai, Kazuko Miura from Nanohana-kai, and Makoto Tsunohama from Makoto-kai will appear to present splendid songs and dances. On the stage where the results of daily practice are showcased, visitors can enjoy traditional performances by organizations that lead the local performing arts culture. Doors open at 09:30, the performance starts at 10:30, and advance tickets are sold for 1,500 yen (1,800 yen for same-day tickets).
