2026 Rokunohe Autumn Festival

The 2026 Rokunohe Autumn Festival in Rokunohe Town will be held over three days from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6, centered around the downtown area. This year, 8 gorgeous floats are scheduled to parade through the town center, greatly livening up the festival. On the first day, Friday, September 4, the Otori procession featuring shrine mikoshi carrying, float operations, and a costume parade will take place from 17:00 to 20:30. On the middle day, Saturday, September 5, a variety of events are scheduled from 13:00 to 18:00, including float exhibitions, musical performances by nursery school children, festival music competitions, collaborative Rokunohe Ondo dances, and judging announcements and awards ceremonies. On the final day, Sunday, September 6, the Okaeri return procession will take place from 12:45 to 17:30 with shrine mikoshi returns, float operations, and costume parades. In case of rain, the festival music competition and judging announcements/awards will be held at the Town Cultural Hall. Parking will be available at the Town General Gymnasium, as well as the town office and B&G parking lots. Fifteen temporary toilets are also scheduled to be installed.
