Oirase Momoishi Festival

About this event

A traditional festival celebrating the autumn harvest and a large catch of fish. Boasting a 145-year history dating back to 1880 (Meiji 13), the highlight is the sight of portable shrine processions and magnificent parade floats marching through the Honcho district of Oirase Town. At the eve-of-festival event, a night display of the floats is held, and a classic car festival is also held on the middle day. At the festival plaza, diverse events such as karaoke competitions and song shows bustle with excitement late into the night.
