2026 Storytelling Gathering: Noboru Baba-sensei and His Hometown Sannohe

This is a special storytelling session centered around "Kitsune Mori no Yamaotoko" (The Mountain Man of Fox Forest), the picture book debut work of manga artist Noboru Baba, a native of Sannohe Town. Yuko Sekiya, who served as Baba-sensei's editor at Koguma Publishing for many years, will talk about the landscapes of Sannohe depicted in his works and share precious childhood anecdotes about the artist. In addition, attendees can enjoy a dynamic reading of "Kitsune Mori no Yamaotoko" by the picture book and storytelling appreciation group "Uhiaha". It is a heartwarming event where both adults and children can connect with Baba-sensei's hometown of Sannohe and the world of his works.
