About this event

This event recruits passengers for the maritime parade at the 'Noda Port Festival' held in Noda Village, Iwate Prefecture. This festival is a traditional event praying for a bountiful catch and safety at sea, and the maritime parade is conducted as part of it. Taking place at Noda Fishing Port, the parade cruises from Suwa Shrine to the offshore area of Tako-kamisama (Octopus Deity). Participants can board the maritime parade for free, but must obtain a numbered ticket in advance. The recruitment capacity is 20 people and is open to elementary school students and older (elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian). Applications are accepted at the Noda Village Chamber of Commerce and Industry counter, requiring information such as name, age, address, phone number, and gender for all participants. Take this opportunity to experience from the sea the atmosphere of a traditional festival that gives thanks for the bounty of the sea and prays for safety.
