The "Camp Taiwa 70th Anniversary Commemorative Event" will be held at the JGSDF Camp Taiwa located in Taiwa Town, Kurokawa District, Miyagi Prefecture. On the day, the camp will be opened to the public, featuring a commemorative ceremony, powerful training demonstrations, exhibitions of the latest equipment, and more. Admission is free, and no advance application is required. An inspection parade will be conducted during the commemorative ceremony, and visitors can observe the activities of the Self-Defense Forces up close during the training demonstrations. Inside the camp, in addition to equipment exhibitions, various events are scheduled, including trial rides in SDF vehicles, combat training demonstrations, drum performances, Kidokko train rides, opening of the Defense Hall, and vendor booths. The dynamic exhibition of the Type 16 Maneuver Combat Vehicle is also a highlight. Baggage inspections will be conducted for visitors, and pets are not permitted for safety management reasons. There is no parking for general visitors inside the camp, but temporary parking lots will be set up at the nearby "Hidamari no Oka," "Mahoroba Hall," and "Tomiya City Hall," with shuttle buses operating from "Mahoroba Hall" and "Tomiya City Hall." Use of public transportation is recommended. Event details are subject to change depending on weather and other conditions.
