A hot summer is coming to Yugawa Village, Fukushima Prefecture! The village's largest summer event, "Yugawa Summer Festival 2026," will be held. Welcoming visitors with plenty of highlights, the festival features exciting stage events, various gourmet food stalls, a children's festival game corner, and fireworks lighting up the night sky. Stage events can be enjoyed from 18:00 to 20:00, while festival stalls, food booths, and kitchen cars (food trucks) are open from 14:00 to 21:00. The program includes an opening ceremony, a dance performance by M.LKHap dance school, Bon Odori, a special live performance by Ryoka Otake, and a mini fireworks display. At the festival game corner, visitors can enjoy target shooting, medaka (Japanese rice fish) scooping, raffles, katanuki (die-cut candy games), sales of traditional penny candy and toys, and super ball scooping. Furthermore, the highly popular haunted house by the Youth League of the Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to return with even more upgraded scares. Food stall offerings are plentiful, featuring shaved ice and miso dengaku by the Women's Division of the Yugawa Chamber of Commerce, Aizu beef skewers by Tabe Livestock, donuts and bread by bi-Nim., takoyaki and okonomiyaki by Yoritimiya, cotton candy and popcorn by Sakuranoka, and more. Kitchen cars will also make an appearance, serving soft-serve ice cream made with Samegawa Jersey milk, pasta by D-kitchen Hiro, Cuban sandwiches by EL MAGO, fruit sandwiches by LUMETTO COFFEE, and grilled seafood by Eisho. Sponsorship donations for the fireworks are also being accepted, allowing visitors to help liven up the event through their contributions.
