20th Otaru Classic Car Expo

About this event

Held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, on the grounds of the Otaru City Museum (Main Building) in Otaru City, Hokkaido, the "20th Otaru Classic Car Expo" brings together around 100 classic cars, including domestic cars, foreign cars, and motorcycles manufactured in or before Showa 63 (1988), or same-model vehicles registered prior to 1995 (Heisei 7). In addition to displays of nostalgic vintage vehicles, visitors can enjoy food trucks and ride experiences on bonnet buses. The event takes place rain or shine, but checking the official website is recommended as dates and content may change. Participating vehicles cost 3,000 yen per car, which includes a 1,000-yen food truck voucher as well as museum admission for the participant and accompanying passengers. As iron powder, soot, insects, pine resin, etc., may adhere to vehicles at the venue, vehicles with potential oil leaks must provide drip pans. Drinking alcohol, smoking, and open flames are strictly prohibited inside the venue, and pets are not allowed with some exceptions. General visitors can view the exhibition vehicles, but using public transportation is recommended due to limited parking availability.
