4th Moriya History Rogaining

About this event

Under the theme "Walk through history and love the town even more," the "4th Moriya History Rogaining" will be held, where participants tour cultural properties, historical spots, parks, nature, and streetscapes in Moriya City with a map in hand to collect points. Rogaining is a sport where participants visit checkpoints in any order within a time limit and take photos to gather points; since it combines physical activity with route-planning strategy, anyone from beginners to experienced participants can join with ease. This year, the "Moriya Rediscovery! Photo Challenge" is introduced as a new feature: participants take photos of Moriya's charms they discover—such as cultural properties, beautiful scenery, parks, shopping streets, and interactions with people—and post them to social media with designated hashtags, with awards presented for outstanding entries. It is an event where you can share your own unique Moriya discovered on foot.
