About this event
Held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, the "Shimodate Halloween Festival" marks the final edition of this event, which has been running since 2016. Taking place along the JR Shimodate Station North Exit shopping street, it runs from 10:00 to 15:00. The festival encourages not only children but also guardians to take center stage and fully enjoy dressing up in costume, providing a great opportunity for parents and children to showcase serious cosplay. The event features a photo exhibition looking back on 10 years of memories, as well as a costume contest offering luxurious perks and prizes. Participating only in the costume contest is also possible, with a registration fee of 1,000 yen per group for participants aged 18 and older, while those registered for the main Halloween event (registration fee 1,000 yen) can participate for free. Applications for the costume contest only open on October 1. Activities such as a candy house and PET HALLOWEEN are also planned, making it a final Halloween event to celebrate and get excited together with participants in gratitude for the past 10 years.
