Shiratori Festival 2026

About this event

Organized by the Seihokai Social Welfare Corporation in Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture, to commemorate its 40th anniversary, 'Shiratori Festival 2026' is one of the region's largest symbiotic events. Starting in the early Heisei era as a facility bazaar of around 300 people, this festival has grown into a signature autumn event in Chikusei City, attracting approximately 10,000 visitors over two days. Initiated by the former chairperson's wish to share the activities of persons with disabilities with the local community, it continues to grow thanks to warm local support. At the venue, you can enjoy stage performances by special guests such as ex. LORD OF MAJOR (Mohige), Ringo-chan, Hayato Adachi, and Antoki no Inoki, as well as dynamic musical and theatrical performances by local groups. Additionally, there are plenty of activities to enjoy all day, including the 'ADASTRIA BAZAAR!' offering sample and outlet clothing items from popular brands such as GLOBAL WORK and niko and... at special prices, the 'Shiratori Bazaar' where you can find great bargains, delicious gourmet food and cafes, a children's play area, and a touch-care booth. Admission is free, and parking is available. This festival aims to provide enjoyment for facility users, promote community exchange and contribution, raise welfare awareness, strengthen local ties, and foster future welfare personnel.
