Held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Tochigi City Iwafune Sports Ground, "Tochigi Forum 2026 in Tochigi & Mibu" is an event returning to Tochigi City for the first time in 11 years. Under the theme "Gather Excitement, Expand the Future!", it brings together the charm and regional strength of Tochigi City and Mibu Town to deliver a day filled with smiles and emotional moments. The sky lantern launch (limited to 300 lanterns, advance reservation required), which fantastically illuminates the night sky, will be the moving climax of the day. In addition, special guest Hiroyuki Takagishi from Timon D will appear on the "Exciting Tochigi Talk!" stage to share the appeal of Tochigi. There will also be hands-on booths by attractive local businesses and organizations, stage performances by local artists and groups, and educational programs themed on disaster prevention and eco-friendliness. Furthermore, gourmet booths and kitchen cars featuring famous local delicacies from Tochigi City and Mibu Town as well as popular shops from across the prefecture will gather, offering delicious discoveries that can only be tasted at the venue. Admission is free, though some content requires a fee or advance registration.
