About this event
The Akabori Festival is a traditional event aimed at promoting the sound upbringing of youth, community building, human resource development, and fostering community bonds through intergenerational exchange via resident participation in local events. In fiscal year 2026, to prevent heatstroke, the schedule has been changed from August 16 starting in fiscal year 2025 and will be held on Saturday, October 3. The event will take place from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Akabori Community Plaza. The event program includes kindergarten mikoshi portable shrines, children's mikoshi, adult mikoshi, a float festival (daytime section and nighttime section), so-odori general dance, children's Yagibushi, and taiko drum performances. The flyer for the fiscal year 2026 Akabori Festival is scheduled to be published once completed.
