Held in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture, the "Akagi Festival" will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Koguregumi Sports Park Akagi (Akagi General Sports and Nature Park). The event runs from 14:00 to 21:00, with approximately 1,500 fireworks scheduled to be launched at night. The fireworks can be enjoyed starting from 8:00 PM for about 40 minutes. At the venue, food truck stalls and local mikoshi (portable shrine) exhibitions are planned, enlivening the festival atmosphere. The athletic stadium and baseball field will be open as fireworks viewing areas, so you can bring a picnic mat and watch comfortably. For parking, the Baseball Field Parking Lot and the Akagi Seiroku Land Improvement District Parking Lot are available. Please check in advance, as the event will be canceled in case of rain.
