Joshu Mura-no-Eki "Cabbage Panic"

Joshu Mura-no-Eki in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture will hold "Cabbage Panic" exclusively in August. The star of this event is Tsumagoi Cabbage 419, a rare variety also known as the "phantom cabbage." During the period, participatory events that both adults and children can get absorbed in will be held every week. In "All-You-Can-Hold 419," participants carry as many cabbages as possible in both arms within a 30-second time limit, and can take home whatever they manage to keep hold of. In "All-You-Can-Stack 419 in a Bucket," participants take on the challenge of stacking cabbages high in a dedicated bucket. Furthermore, in late August, "All-You-Can-Stack 419 and Summer Vegetables in a Bucket" will also be held with the addition of seasonal summer vegetables. These events can be joined for 500 yen (tax included) per try, and all cabbages and vegetables obtained within the time limit can be taken home. In addition to the events, tasting sessions of coarsely chopped 419 cabbage and limited-edition gourmet dishes made with plenty of Tsumagoi cabbage will appear, allowing visitors to fully enjoy seasonal flavors. Joshu Mura-no-Eki is a food theme park communicating the charms of Gunma through learning, tasting, and experiencing, beyond just shopping for seasonal produce.
