A "Nail-Driving Workshop" will be held where parents and children can try woodworking together to make summer vacation memories. In this edition of "Rediscovering the Village's Charms & Crafts," focusing on nail driving which is fundamental to carpentry, Mr. Eiichi Kumagai, a veteran craftsman with over 50 years of carpentry experience and representative of Kumagai Architecture, will serve as the instructor. You can experience the joy of craftsmanship using wooden mallets while receiving direct guidance from a pro. Furthermore, there will be experiences shaving wood with a Japanese hand plane (kanna) and a free scrap-wood crafting corner where you can create freely, offering engaging content for both children and adults. It is a perfect opportunity to make summer memories while enjoying the excitement of asking "Can I hammer it straight?" together as a parent and child.
