A puppet show adaptation of the classic fantasy work written by Sachiko Kashiwaba and illustrated by Hiromi Sugita. The long-awaited new production by the puppet theater troupe 'Hitomiza' arrives at Tamamura Town Cultural Center. The story begins when Rina, a sixth-grade elementary school student, passes through a misty forest and spends her summer vacation in a mysterious town. It is a town filled with magic, governed by the rule 'He who does not work, neither shall he eat.' Although Rina is bewildered at first, surrounded by the town's unique and warm people—including the boarding house master Pipiti Picot, inventor Icchan, cook John, secondhand bookstore owner Nata, and antique shop owner Shikka—she learns the joy of working and the value of connecting with people. For Rina, it is sure to become truly a 'magical summer vacation.' It is a puppet show perfect for the summer vacation that the whole family can enjoy.
