Isesaki Festival

About this event

The 2026 Isesaki Festival will be held in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture. A vibrant festival will unfold over two days on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 across venues on Honmachi-dori, Otemachi-dori, Chuo Ginza-dori, Minami Ginza-dori, and Nishimachi-dori. On the first day, Saturday the 26th, a giant tug-of-war, folk dance parades, and a parade and competition of festival floats and stalls will take place on Honmachi-dori from 3:00 PM until around 8:00 PM. In addition, the Festival Plaza will host an opening ceremony, performances by sister city cultural delegations, Isesaki Dance☆Night, a serious water balloon beanbag toss battle, Isesaki Groove Night, and more, offering a variety of entertainment throughout the day. At the Wakuwaku Game Park, mini-games for children and disaster relief fundraising will take place, located at the Yamato Hall Northeast Dedicated Parking Lot. The Grand Raffle will be held at the south parking lot of APA Hotel Isesaki-Ekimae Minami, and the Hands-on Mobile Aquarium will be held south of Akaishi Rakusha. On the second day, Sunday the 27th, a children's mikoshi parade, adult mikoshi contest, and 100-person mikoshi will be held on Honmachi-dori. Scheduled at the Festival Plaza are an Anpanman show, breakdance show, Danpia Isesaki, local traditional performing arts presentations, and local idol live shows. The Wakuwaku Game Park, Grand Raffle, and mobile petting zoo will also continue, marking the festival's finale. Traffic restrictions will be in effect on both days from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
