Held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at SMARK Isesaki in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, 'Safety and Security Fair 2026 in SMARK Isesaki' is an event where you can enjoy learning about disaster prevention and crime prevention. Emergency vehicles from the Self-Defense Forces, fire department, and police will be on display, allowing visitors to see the vehicles up close. In addition, there are plenty of hands-on corners to practically learn how to respond during disasters, such as fire extinguisher experiences, earthquake simulations, and smoke experiences. Indoor booths offer a wide range of exhibits and experiences, including AED usage training, Disaster Emergency Dial 171 experience, seismic breaker displays, traffic accident simulations, residential seismic retrofitting consultations, vacant house consultations, waterfront safety awareness, and crime prevention awareness. There are also activities such as a giant spot-the-difference game and realistic damage predictions, allowing both adults and children to enjoy learning how to prepare for unexpected emergencies. A bingo game where you can receive gifts by collecting stamps at each booth will also be held, and emergency stockpiles will be distributed to the first 400 visitors. Admission to the event is free, and no advance registration is required. The event runs from 10:00 to 16:00 (last entry at 15:45) at the outdoor area of Haruna Central Gate and Haruna Plaza on the 1st floor of SMARK Isesaki.
