About this event
Held at Showa General Park in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture, the "Kasukabe Giant Kite Fireworks Display" is an event beloved as a summer tradition. At the lush green venue, diverse events unfold including Bon Odori, kids dance, Yosakoi Soran, Japanese drums (wadaiko), and portable shrines (mikoshi). In particular, the Bon Odori dance enjoyed by the entire venue further heightens the festival's excitement. Continuing from the former Showa Town's "Townspeople Summer Festival," this festival is handmade by citizens and held with the aim of revitalizing the local community and creating a better local area. Many mock stalls will also be set up, making it an event perfect for creating summer memories through watching, eating, and enjoying.
