63rd Fujimi Citizens' Cultural Festival

About this event

The Fujimi Citizens' Cultural Festival is held to promote cultural creation activities among citizens and foster mutual cultural exchange. Performing arts, music presentations, and various exhibitions will take place. The exhibitions cover a wide range of fields, including flower arrangement (ikebana), calligraphy, tea ceremony, chrysanthemums, wild plants, tanka poetry, painting, patchwork, clay art, floral arrangement, pressed flowers & cartonnage, and French embroidery. In the performing arts showcase, Japanese classical dance, modern dance, shigin poetry recitation, Okinawan dance, and karaoke will be presented. In addition, a folk song (minyo) contest and a civic music festival will be held, featuring chorus, brass band, and instrumental performances. The exhibitions take place at Fujimi City General Gymnasium, while the performing arts presentations, minyo contest, and civic music festival take place at Tsuruse Community Center.
