About this event
The "Orange Festival" held in Fujimino City is an awareness event designed to deepen understanding of dementia. It will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Fujimino City Care Prevention Center. This event features dementia supporter training courses, an Orange Cafe, various measurement/screening sessions in collaboration with corporations, and panel exhibitions. Through lectures, exhibits, and hands-on experience booths, the event provides an opportunity to "know, learn, and think" about dementia, aiming to be a place where dementia patients, their families, and local residents can gather and interact. The goal is for the entire community to create a comfortable, reassuring place where people can consult about everyday concerns or build familiar relationships while enjoying coffee or tea. Anyone is welcome to participate, including people with dementia, their families, those wishing to interact with the local community, or anyone interested in dementia. Volunteer recruitment is also underway, welcoming dementia supporters as well as those who can perform music or singing. This festival is part of efforts aimed at realizing a society where people can live with peace of mind in their familiar communities even if they develop dementia.
