About this event
The Irodori Hiking event will be held in Ogawa Town, known as Musashi's Little Kyoto, guiding participants through autumn satoyama (countryside) landscapes and along clear streams. Covering approximately 10 km, this course leads from the station front through Kitaura-dori Street to Tochimoto Hydrophilic Park, where visitors can stroll while admiring 50 large and small maple trees with autumn foliage. Stepping across the Tsuki River stones and continuing down the riverside trail, walkers can take in scenic fall views. After stopping at Roadside Station Ogawamachi, the route heads to the nostalgic wooden school building of the former Shimosato Branch School set in the satoyama. On the way back to the roadside station, participants visit Hachimiya Shrine and Aoso Sankogu Shrine, which is known for blessings regarding foot health. The course allows visitors to appreciate the charming autumn leaves of the rural hills and fully experience Ogawa Town in autumn. Participation is free, and no advance registration is required, allowing same-day entry. Participants will receive an original tin badge on their first and second participations (limited quantities available). Furthermore, joining 3 of the 4 total events earns a 500 yen local currency voucher. To participate, adding the official LINE account 'Ogawamachi Joho Sumoriba' as a friend and registering participation records is required.
