Chichibu Kegon Falls Light-up

About this event

Organized by the Minano Town Tourism Association, the Chichibu Kegon Falls Light-up is an event where visitors can enjoy autumn foliage along with the magical illumination of the waterfall. During the period, a Basin Tour guiding visitors right up to the waterfall basin—normally an off-limits area—will be conducted, allowing you to experience the powerful waterfall up close. In addition, on November 23 (Sat), the local Hinosazawa Women's Club will serve and sell local dishes, and a performance of Hinosawa Daijinja Kagura, designated as an intangible folk cultural property of the town, will be held. At the venue, free rentals of photogenic colorful paper lanterns and servings of warm Hot Calpis will also be available, allowing you to warmly enjoy the long autumn evening amidst magical scenery. Please note that the event may be canceled in case of rain.
