About this event
The 10th Chichibu Puppet Summit brings together traditional puppet theater passed down through generations in the Chichibu region. At this event, three groups—Yokoze Puppet Theater, Shiroku Kushi Puppet Theater, and Deushi Puppet Joruri—will each showcase their distinctive puppet performances. This is a rare opportunity to experience up close the charm of Chichibu's puppet theater, which has been handed down continuously since the end of the Edo period. Visitors can experience the historic performing arts that have been enjoyed at village festivals, fairs, and inside farmhouse tatami rooms.
