About this event
A traditional lion dance handed down in the Kayada and Asahine districts of Higashichichibu Village, characterized by wild, energetic dancing so dynamic it is called the "Rampaging Lion of Asahine." Dedicated annually in November at Asahine Hachiman Shrine, local children also participate in the lion dance, showcasing how tradition is passed down to the next generation. This lion dance has been designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of the village.
