Sign Language Festa & Blue Light-Up Event

About this event

Held in conjunction with the International Day of Sign Languages on September 23, the "Sign Language Festa & Blue Light-Up Event" aims to make sign language feel more familiar and accessible. The event features sign language songs and mini sign language lessons, carrying out activities to promote the understanding of sign language as a recognized language. Additionally, the "Blue Light-Up" will begin at 18:30, coloring the night sky with blue light. This blue light-up is part of a global initiative illuminating buildings and landmarks worldwide in blue light—the symbol of world peace—carrying wishes to deepen understanding of sign languages, protect the dignity of sign language users, and build a society where everyone can live with peace of mind. In case of rain, the Sign Language Festa will be held in Multipurpose Room 1 within the facility. Through this event, it offers an opportunity to deepen understanding of sign languages and take a step toward realizing an inclusive society.
