About this event
Held in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, the "29th Aiko Autumn Festival: Across Generations, Together with the Community" is a regular autumn exchange festival hosted by the Social Welfare Corporation Aiko. Celebrating its 71st anniversary, Aiko holds this event to deepen interaction with local residents. This year's highlight is the debut of the "Petting Zoo" featuring the traveling zoo "Animoru." It is designed to bring smiles across generations, including people with and without disabilities, from children to seniors. In addition, there will be a powerful collaborative performance by Kiyomaru Taiko, which carries on local traditions, and "Meiwa Taiko" performed by users of Aiko. Furthermore, partnerships with local educational institutions are deepening, featuring performances by the Nego Junior High School brass band, presentations by the Rehope Electone Club, and stalls run by the Shumei University School of Nursing. Visitors can also enjoy family-friendly programs such as a soap bubble show and a wide variety of food booths, including food trucks. Taking place at the parking area in front of the support facility for people with disabilities "Rehope" as well as the main building lobby and support center, the event offers a day where the local community and the facility come together as one.
