The 41st Shiroi Pear Marathon, held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Shiroi City, Chiba Prefecture, is a marathon race set in one of Japan's leading pear-producing regions where runners can feel the refreshing autumn breeze. On race day, traffic restrictions will be implemented on the roads surrounding the athletic park along the course. Divisions include 2 km, 2 km parent-child pair, 5 km, and 10 km, allowing participants to choose according to their fitness and ability level. In particular, the 2 km parent-child pair division allows guardians and children in elementary school grades 1 through 3 to run together. Participation gifts include pears and towels, and drink distribution service will be available after finishing. Furthermore, pear tasting is scheduled to take place, continuing from last year. For venue access, free temporary shuttle buses running from Hokuso Line Shiroi Station and Shiroi City Hall Parking Lot are convenient. The race will proceed rain or shine; however, if cancelled due to earthquakes, wind/flood damage, torrential rain, snowfall, strong winds, incidents, accidents, epidemics, etc., entry fees will not be refunded, and points equivalent to the participation fee will be returned as Rumpo points redeemable on RUNNET. Participation notices, timing chips, athlete bibs, and other materials will be dispatched around late September and exchanged for participation gifts on race day.
