About this event
"Japan-Korea Exchange Festival 2026 in Tokyo" is a 3-day event held from September 25 to 27, 2026, at the Korean Cultural Center in Yotsuya, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, aimed at deepening cultural exchange between Japan and South Korea. Marking its 18th edition in Tokyo, this year the festival is hosted at the Korean Cultural Center for the first time, featuring a wide variety of programs utilizing various spaces within the facility. A total of 6 stage programs are scheduled, including non-verbal LED performances by Korean performing arts groups, a Japan-Korea Exchange Classical Concert, K-POP dance stages, a Japan-Korea Exchange Street Dance stage, and K-POP concerts. In particular, appearances by notable artists such as Korean singer-songwriter Lee Mu-jin and dance crew "1MILLION" are planned, allowing visitors to fully enjoy music and dance. Stage viewing requires advance application and may be subject to a lottery. Aside from the stages, there will be a food area offering Korean gourmet dishes, K-Beauty experiences, and exhibitions and hands-on activities to experience Korean culture from various angles such as food, beauty, and tradition. Japan-Korea exchange programs centered on the younger generation will also be conducted, contributing to mutual understanding and friendship promotion between both nations with cultural exchange, citizen exchange, and youth exchange as its pillars.
