Tokyo Midtown's design festival 'TOKYO MIDTOWN DESIGN LIVE 2026' will be held. Welcoming graphic designer Taku Sato as creative director and featuring the slogan 'A design event that makes everyday life more interesting,' the festival offers opportunities to rediscover the charm and value of design hidden in everyday life through diverse programs. This year's theme is 'Mitsumeru' (Gaze). In modern times where vast amounts of information and images constantly flow, it proposes an opportunity to encounter new thoughts and creations through time and experiences spent closely 'gazing' at something. The main content is the 'DESIGN LIVE EXHIBITION,' a full-fledged design exhibition bringing together works from creators active in Japan and abroad, where works by a total of 19 creator groups will decorate the interior and exterior of Tokyo Midtown. In addition, various contents will be featured, including 'DESIGN LIVE MUSIC' where music and graphics intersect, 'DESIGN LIVE MARKET by Doku no Ichi' gathering bookstores and stationery shops from across the country, and 'DESIGN LIVE TALK SALON' where visitors can learn about the thinking of top creators and the latest design trends. In the free sense of distance with the artworks unique to Tokyo Midtown's open spaces, visitors can enjoy the experience of 'gazing' at design from various angles.
