About this event
Kitazawa Festival is a handmade local community festival held in the Kitazawa area. The year 2026 marks its 42nd edition. The venues are Kitazawa Town Hall, Kitazawa Park, and Kitazawa Gakuen Junior High School (formerly Kitazawa Elementary School). At Kitazawa Town Hall, chorus, traditional dance, folk songs, dance, and more will be held in the main hall. In the Sky Salon, an exhibition of works by neighborhood associations, residents' associations, and senior citizen clubs will showcase paintings and handicrafts by local residents. In addition, an exhibition of elementary and junior high school student works will be held in the 1st floor lobby. On the 24th only, a coffee corner will be set up in the 12th floor conference room. At Kitazawa Gakuen Junior High School (formerly Kitazawa Elementary School), a children's corner (25th only) will feature a "Wireless Radio Operation Experience" by the Sanmoji Club, a "Sports Challenge Corner" by the Setagaya Sports Promotion Foundation, and a "Game Corner" by the Daita Children's Hall. At Kitazawa Park, a bazaar and mochi-pounding corner will be set up along with food stalls, Kitazawa Hayashi music, street performances, and hot water/tea service. PR corners will also be established, including a Waste Reduction and Recycling Promotion PR Corner, a Social Welfare Council PR Corner, and an Anshin Sukoyaka Center PR Corner.
