Ikebukuro GLOBAL RING Music Festival 2026 is a participatory music festival centered around the GLOBAL RING in Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park. It was established in 2022 to support students who lost opportunities to perform due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This music festival features two types of events: "Ikebukuro A Cappella Park" and "Student Wind Orchestra Concert." On Saturday, November 14, "Ikebukuro A Cappella Park" will be held across multiple venues—including Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park Outdoor Theater GLOBAL RING Theater, the Metropolitan Plaza Building 1st floor pedestrian walkway, and IT Tower TOKYO IT Square—filling the streets of Ikebukuro with human voice-only a cappella harmonies. On Sunday, November 15, the "Student Wind Orchestra Concert" will take place at the Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park Outdoor Theater GLOBAL RING Theater, unfolding a celebration of wind music by young musicians. The way they grow through music—feeling both the difficulty and joy of perfecting a piece together following the delicate movements of the baton—captivates the audience through sound. Performances run from daytime through the evening, featuring programs that families can easily drop by to enjoy. Based on the concept of community development through music, the festival aims to ensure that the melodies and memories shared here endure even as the scenery of Ikebukuro evolves over time.
