ARAKAWA1-1-1 Lounge Theater: In This Corner of the World

A movie screening titled 'ARAKAWA1-1-1 Lounge Theater' will be held at the 1-1-1 Lounge on the 2nd floor of Sunpearl Arakawa in Arakawa Ward. The screened work is 'In This Corner of the World,' a moving animated film set in wartime Hiroshima that warmly depicts the daily life of the protagonist Suzu and the bonds of family. Bringing together the sentiments of all of Japan as a gem of animation to be passed down 100 years into the future, this work offers an opportunity for people of all ages to be moved. The screening will take place in two parts, with a capacity of 50 people per session and free admission. Applications must be made through the designated website, with the application deadline on Friday, August 14, 2026. Selected applicants will be notified by email on Sunday, August 16.
