127th Chofu Yose: Hayashiya Shojaku, Hayashiya Kikumaro, Kokontei Bungiku - A Profusion of Rakugo Stories

At the '127th Chofu Yose', where a variety of storytelling arts bloom and compete, talented rakugo storytellers such as Hayashiya Shojaku, Hayashiya Kikumaro, and Kokontei Bungiku will perform prized rakugo stories. Hayashiya Kikumaro will perform his popular work 'Snack Hyacinth', while Hayashiya Shojaku performs an adaptation of it in the style of a ninjobanashi (human-interest story). Shojaku will further captivate the audience with 'Yomosugara Kengyo'. Kokontei Bungiku will perform an elegant rendition of the red-light district story 'Omitate'. With an intermission (nakairi), this 150-minute performance (including break) allows you to thoroughly enjoy the fascinating contrast between the distinct artistic styles of the three performers. In addition to Hayashiya Shojaku, Hayashiya Kikumaro, and Kokontei Bungiku, the lineup also features Kagami Michiyo performing daikagura and Hayashiya Hikosa performing rakugo.
