About this event

Held at the Kodaira Municipal Taiyo Welfare Center, the '40th Taiyo Center Festival' is an event designed to deepen exchanges with the local community and promote understanding of disabilities. The opening features a dance by Fairy, while the stage presents harmonica performances and singing by Kodaira Cattleya Harmony, magic tricks by Kodaira Magic Club, ukulele performances by Tanoshii Ukulele-kai, and a puppet show by the NPO Kodaira Children's Theater. The finale is a Yosakoi performance by Dai-13 Elementary School Yosakoi. In addition, visitors can enjoy sales and exhibitions of dyed items, a crafting corner, an art exhibition by Kodaira No. 13 Elementary School, welfare experiences such as boccia, braille, sign language, and guide assistance, as well as a stamp rally. Food stalls will sell a variety of delicious items such as yakisoba, frankfurters, beverages, chocolate bananas, popcorn, yakitori, takoyaki, buttered potatoes, and peanut sugar candy. With users proactively assisting in planning and implementation, and supported by local neighborhood associations, various organizations, and volunteers, the event aims to be an accessible and welcoming festival for everyone to enjoy.
