Special Buddhist Unveiling & Art Tour with Kokuvege Bento

This tour is a special opportunity to experience the history, culture, and art of Kokubunji City. On Saturday, October 10, a guided tour visiting historic sites and experiencing the special unveiling (gokaicho) of Yakushido will take place. Departing from JR Nishi-Kokubunji Station, the route visits the Tosando Musashimichi Historic Site, Tokyo Metropolitan Musashi Kokubunji Park, Masugata-no-ike Spring Group, the Musashi Kokubunji Temple Site Museum, Kokubunji Yakushido, and the seated wooden Yakushi Nyorai statue. In addition, it includes a VR experience of the historic Musashi Kokubunji Temple site, allowing you to relive its past appearance. At the end of the tour, a bento box lunch made with Kokubunji's specialty "Kokuvege" vegetables is provided. On Sunday, October 11, a tour focusing on nature and art will be conducted. Highlights include viewing art inside JR Nishi-Kokubunji Station, attending a talk show at Kokubunji City Hall, and watching live painting at the Tokyo Metropolitan Musashi Kokubunji Park and Otaka-no-Michi Cliff Water & Greenery Art Exhibition. This tour also visits the Otaka-no-Michi Spring Garden and Former Honda Family Residence Nagayamon Gate, finishes with the VR experience of the Musashi Kokubunji Temple site, and concludes with a Kokuvege bento. On both days, the participation fee is 3,000 yen (including bento), with a capacity of 12 people each (selected by lottery). Applications are accepted from Tuesday, September 15 to Wednesday, September 30.
