Kunitachi Art Center 2026

About this event

"Kunitachi Art Center 2026" is an art project set in Kunitachi City. The theme is "/home/ (home directory)." Having developed alongside various educational facilities together with its citizens, Kunitachi City has flourished as a town of learning, greenery, and daily life. Alongside its numerous educational institutions, many art galleries are also scattered throughout the town. This event was born from a desire not only to learn past knowledge, but also to deliver inquiries and awareness toward the modern era, as well as the power to create and envision the future within this town. Envisioning the town as a museum, the event will take place across 10 surrounding galleries and the station plaza. It is planned as a 7-day journey exploring art scattered across this small town. Numerous participating artists are featured, including URBAN KNIT x magnecto., Yuki Akaba, Michiko Ishikawa, Ryoma Ino, Yui Endo, Anri Katsuki, Renna Kato, Isamu Gakiya, Noriko Katsura, Kazuo Kitai, Satsuki Kotani, Toru Oyamada, Akane Sakuma, Haruka Fujita, Atsuhiko Misawa, and Tetsuo Yamaji Architects. Conducted as part of the network building initiative by ACKT (Art Center Kunitachi), it is carried out together with the planning team "Kunitachi Art Center (museum shop T / Kohei Fukushima (Gallery Yukihira) / Tao Planning & Editorial Office)." The event is organized by ACKT General Incorporated Association and supported by Kunitachi City and Kokubunji City.
