About this event

Celebrating the 55th anniversary of Inagi's municipal status, the 14th Hirao Festival will present a variety of community-led festivities hosted across Friend Hirao and the Daisan Culture Center. Held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 10:00 to 15:00, the opening ceremony will take place at 9:30 on the Friend Hirao grounds. On the stage, diverse performances will be showcased, including orchestra, koto, piano, Japanese wadaiko drums, brass band music, dance, and choir. Guests can also enjoy exhibition booths featuring paintings, handicrafts, and local history, as well as food and drink stalls serving bread, yakisoba noodles, hot dogs, farm produce, beverages, and more. With activities and sales planned for the whole family to enjoy all day—such as games and crafting for children, fire engine and earthquake simulation vehicle experiences, yo-yo balloon fishing, Go and Shogi, Molkky, and handmade crafts—there is plenty to explore. Early participation is recommended as stamp rally prizes are limited. Visitors are encouraged to use public transit, and bringing or selling alcoholic beverages on-site is prohibited. The venue may change depending on weather and other conditions, so please check for the latest information.
