2026 Hamura Citizens' Sports Festival

Organized by Hamura City, the '2026 Citizens' Sports Festival' is a participatory event aimed at encouraging citizens to enjoy sports by utilizing multiple athletic facilities. Numerous programs are prepared so that even those who rarely exercise can easily take part, with new programs also scheduled. At the main venue, S&D Sports Park Fujimi, in addition to experiencing various sports such as basketball, rugby, flying disc, and tennis, visitors can enjoy dance performances by Nihon Aviation High School Ishikawa's 'Wing Dance Company' and drone piloting experiences. At S&D Sports Arena Hamura, martial arts available in Hamura City such as Iaido and Judo will gather alongside Eskee Tennis, often called a symbol of peace. At S&D Swimming Plaza Hamura, children aged 3 through junior high school students can use the pool for free for 2 hours exclusively on Sports Day, and studio programs like yoga can also be experienced on a first-come, first-served basis. At the Kyudo Archery Range, you can try Japanese archery (kyudo), a rare experience. A stamp rally visiting these facilities will also be held, designed so that everyone can enjoy regardless of disabilities. Operational staff will be wearing bibs and will have written communication boards available. Dedicated parking and spaces for persons with disabilities are also secured. On the same day, the 'Hamura Health Fair,' offering helpful health information, will be held concurrently.
