About this event
The "Tokyu Train Festival" will be held at the Nagatsuta Rolling Stock Plant, which inspects rail vehicles for Tokyu Corporation, and the adjacent Nagatsuta Plant of Tokyu Techno System Co., Ltd. At the rolling stock plant normally closed to the public, visitors can watch vehicle maintenance demonstrations, experience operating various equipment, and tour exhibited train cars. In particular, full-impact activities that will captivate children are packed into the event, such as the impressive "car body lifting" demonstration where huge train bodies float in midair, emergency stop button operations at railroad crossings, and hand-pushing train bogies. With an interior tour of the popular comprehensive inspection vehicle "TOQ-i" and an exhibition of the lead car of the "8500 Series" that once ran on the Den-en-toshi Line, there is plenty for railway fans to enjoy. Through this event, visitors can feel closer to the workings of railways and safety initiatives, creating an opportunity to further enjoy living and traveling along the railway lines.
