About this event
Held on the grounds of Chigasaki Elementary School on Saturday, August 22, 2026, the "2nd Chigasaki Bon Dance" is a summer festival everyone can enjoy, uniting music, taiko drums, and dancing. The first edition was held last year and closed with great success. This year, the venue has moved to the schoolyard, aiming for a safer and more secure event operation. Accessibility measures are also implemented with consideration for wheelchair and stroller users, such as laying rubber sheets over steps within the venue. Delicious gourmet food and fun activities unique to Chigasaki will also gather, making it an ideal event for creating memories at the end of summer. In case of rain, it will be postponed to the following day, Sunday the 23rd. Admission is free.
