Organized by the Odakyu Hakone Group, the "Odakyu Hakone Vehicle Festa 2026" offers a fun and enlightening experience where visitors can view and interact with various vehicles of Hakone up close. On Saturday, September 26, the "Staff Experience & Backyard Tour 2026" will take place, visiting all types of Hakone transit: the Hakone Tozan Railway, Hakone Tozan Cable Car, Hakone Ropeway, and Hakone Sightseeing Cruise. This tour includes hands-on experience with transit operations and visits to usually inaccessible backstage areas, along with a special chartered cruise on the "Royal II," which was renovated in July. Participation is limited to 30 people and costs 11,980 yen for adults and 6,980 yen for children. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 12:30 on Friday, August 14 via the Odakyu Travel booking website. On the following day, Sunday, September 27, a free-admission event will be held around Gora Station, the terminus of the Hakone Tozan Railway. Visitors can enjoy vehicle-themed cosplay and roleplay experiences, activities, original merchandise sales, photo spots, and an on-site quiz rally. These two days offer a prime opportunity to fully experience the appeal of Odakyu Hakone Group's transit network.
