Ashigara Art Forest Art Exhibition 2026

Centered in Minamiashigara City, "Ashigara Art Forest," which has nurtured the creativity of children and families, will be held again this year against the backdrop of the autumn satoyama (countryside). Distinctive paintings created by families and groups will be displayed at the venue, coloring the autumn landscape with art filled with children's sensibilities. On the day, in addition to the exhibition, casual workshops will also be held, allowing visitors to enjoy the artistic autumn while experiencing both "viewing" and "creating." In this event, two entry styles are prepared so that people can enjoy art together with family and friends. One is the "Collaborative Work" style, where a family or group paints a single picture together. The other is the "Collective Work" style, where each person in the family or group creates one picture to submit as a set. The participation requirement is that the work is produced by two or more people, including at least one child up to the third grade of junior high school.
