5th Yamakita Autumn Sports Festival

About this event

With the theme of "Creating a sports environment that fosters participation, experience, and interaction," an event where anyone can easily enjoy sports regardless of age or physical fitness will be held in Yamakita Town. This year, new programs such as the "BT Ball Tournament & Baseball Clinic" in collaboration with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, "Judo Trial Session", and "Running Form Clinic" will make their debut. More than 15 types of sports events—including SUP trial classes, Molkky tournaments, Park Golf Family Day, and skateboard clinics—will be held across various locations in the town from October 1 to 31. In particular, Sunday, October 4 serves as the main event day, featuring diverse activities such as sports clinics taught by Yamakita High School students, a walking & trash pick-up event, a mountain castle riddle-solving hike, forest therapy, and a health promotion lecture. Kitchen cars (food trucks) will also be stationed at Guminoki Neighborhood Park, allowing visitors to enjoy sports throughout the entire day. At the October Walk 2026 IN YAMAKITA, top finishers and lottery winners will receive wonderful prizes. Applications for main event participation are accepted from Friday, September 4 to Friday, September 18 via the application form on the town website, phone, or at the counter. Applications for the SUP trial class for participants from outside the town are accepted from Wednesday, September 9 to Friday, September 18.
