Naoetsu Port 60th Anniversary & Naoetsu Port Association 70th Anniversary Commemorative Event: Come, See, and Know Naoetsu Port!

About this event

At Naoetsu Port in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, an event will be held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the port opening and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Naoetsu Port Association. In this commemorative project, a variety of plans have been prepared to learn about maritime and port work, with content enjoyable for families as well. On the day, public tours and trial voyages aboard the Japan Coast Guard patrol vessel "Yahiko," a demonstration by drug detector dogs, and an impressive water discharge show by tugboats will be carried out. In addition, exhibitions of vehicles active in the port, panel exhibits to learn about the history and roles of the port, and a port quiz are scheduled. Furthermore, food trucks will also be present, making it a day where visitors can experience the appeal of the port with all five senses. The event will be held at Naoetsu Port Central Wharf, and admission is free.
