About this event
The cycling event 'Challenge Ride Niikawa 2026' will be held across three cities and three towns in the Niikawa region of eastern Toyama Prefecture. A total of five courses ranging from 60km to 145km are available to match participants' leg strength, allowing everyone from beginners to veterans seeking a long ride to enjoy. Welcoming Dancho Yasuda from Yasuda Dai Circus and Hayato Ando as guest riders, participants can ride while taking in the magnificent scenery of Tateyama Kurobe Geopark. The 60km course is popular with elementary school families and seniors, while the 80km course runs along the Kurobe River and is aimed at road bike beginners and those who want a relaxed ride. The 85km to 110km courses run from near the sea in Kurobe City and Uozu City along hilly mountain edges, visiting Unazuki and Asahi Town. Shortcuts are also available, making it possible to ride according to one's physical strength. The 145km 'Ashi-Pan Course' extends all the way to Namerikawa City, offering the undulations of Tofukuji Park and Tateyama Kurobe Geopark. It will be an opportunity to challenge distances you have never ridden before.
